Season registration is how your team goes from Draft status to an active competitor. Only team managers can register a team. Registration happens during a defined window before the season starts — once the window closes, no new teams can be added.
Registration windows are time-limited. Check the Seasons page and your Discord notifications regularly so you do not miss the deadline. Late registrations are not accepted after the window closes.

Before you register: eligibility checklist

Make sure all of the following are true before submitting your registration:
The minimum roster size is 3 players (including yourself as manager). Each player must have:
  • A verified .edu email address
  • A linked Discord account
  • No active roster on another C3 Esports team
See Roster Eligibility for the full requirements.
C3 Esports has three divisions: Premier (top tier), Challengers (mid tier), and Contenders (entry-level). You will choose your division during registration. Be honest about your team’s skill level — playing in a division far below your skill may result in a division adjustment by staff.See Division Tiers for descriptions.
A team can only be registered once per season. If you need to change your division after submitting, contact staff immediately — changes are only possible before staff approves your registration.

Step-by-step: Register for a season

1

Open the Seasons page

Click Seasons in the navigation bar, or go to c3esports.com/seasons. Find the upcoming season that is currently in the Registration phase.Seasons listing page showing a season with a green "Registration Open" badge
2

Click Register

Open the season detail page and click the Register Your Team button. This button only appears if:
  • The registration window is currently open
  • You are a team manager
  • Your team is not already registered for this season Season detail page with a blue Register Your Team button
3

Select your division

Choose the division your team wants to compete in: Premier, Challengers, or Contenders. Read the Division Tiers page if you are unsure which fits your team.
If this is your first season, Contenders or Challengers is almost always the right choice. You can move up in future seasons based on your performance.
4

Review the eligibility confirmation

The platform will display your current roster and flag any players who are not yet eligible (missing .edu verification, missing Discord link, or on another team). Ineligible players are shown with a warning icon.Registration form showing a roster list with green checkmarks for eligible players and red warning icons for ineligible ones
You can submit registration even if some players are ineligible, but those players cannot play in matches until they resolve their eligibility issues. Make sure your minimum 3 eligible players are confirmed before match week begins.
5

Submit your registration

Click Submit Registration. Your team’s status changes from Draft to Pending while staff reviews your application.

After you submit

Your registration goes into a queue for staff review. Staff check that:
  • Your roster meets minimum size requirements
  • No ineligible players are listed as starters
  • Your chosen division is appropriate
You will receive a notification (and a Discord message if configured) when your registration is approved or denied. If denied, the reason will be included so you can correct it and resubmit before the window closes.
Approval is not instant. Staff typically review registrations within 24–48 hours. If the registration window is closing soon and you have not heard back, send a message in #manager-support on the C3 Esports Discord.

Frequently asked questions
